Treetop Quest Opening Day - 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM


Explore Park’s signature attraction is back for a second season of aerial adventure. Bring out your inner squirrel with progressively challenging obstacles such as cargo nets, tight ropes and zip lines.


Artisan Saturday - 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM


Watch local artisans demonstrate their craft and enjoy FREE family activities. Love what you see? All featured crafts people have their works on display and for sale during the event.

Twin Creeks Brewpub Ribbon Cutting - 3:00 PM


Roanoke County’s first craft brewery officially opens their second location at Explore Park with regular Spring hours. You’re invited to join Twin Creeks staff and Roanoke County officials to celebrate a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Live Music on the Brugh Lawn - 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM


Rock out to the sounds of local favorites Five Shades of Gray, Radio Rehab and Hardrive Crew! Get a preview of the area’s newest outdoor music venue, and see the announcement of a new Summer concert series. Relax with a drink inside historic Brugh Tavern or outside on the lawn presented by Twin Creeks Brewpub.


Outdoor Services Demonstrations - 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM  


Learn about upcoming outdoor programs, events and activities from Roanoke County and our vendor partners at Explore Park. From cabin and tent camping, to tubing and summer camp opportunities.  While you’re here, talk with the owners of Blue Mountain Adventures and Don’s Cab-Inns about future attractions coming to the park.
Guided Nature Hikes - 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM
Discover and observe the spring awakening of the forest! Join our park naturalist and local Master Naturalists on a free family-friendly nature walk looking for emerging wildflowers and wildlife. Departs from Twin Creeks Brewpub.
