  • Cleaning staff will be wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Wellness staff will be consistently cleaning equipment, & encouraging members to do the same.
  • Sanitizing and wipe-pull stations have been added to the wellness floor and studios.

OTHER PREVENTATIVE MEASURES:

The following changes have been made to encourage social distancing while protecting our guests and staff:

  • Masking - Virginia guidelines require appropriate facial covering to the greatest extent possible while in the facility. Masks are not necessary while exercising, but required while in our common areas. If you forget your mask, we’re happy to provide one for you to keep.
  • Floor Markers -  Standing markers and arrows will be placed on the floor at the front desk, in the wellness studios, in high traffic areas, and next to select pieces of equipment to guide social distancing. No "spotting" unless both participants are from the same household.
  • Wiping Equipment - While staff will be cleaning equipment, visitors are also required to clean before and after each use. Failure to do so may result in your dismissal for the day.
  • Removed Furniture & Equipment - We’ve removed high-contact surfaces such as chairs and tables, as well as soft surfaces that are hard to clean such as mats and battle ropes.

AQUATICS AREA IMPACTS

WHAT IS BEING PLANNED FOR SUMMER 2020?
We are working towards a partial re-opening of some aquatic recreation services by late July. Stay tuned for an announcement about re-opening dates, modified schedules and services.

WHY CAN’T THE POOL OPEN IMMEDIATELY?
We have only recently received clarification from the governor regarding Phase 3 guidelines and implementation dates. Re-opening any aquatic services will require time for staff on-boarding and training, and operations must be designed to meet cost recovery requirements.

DOESN’T VIRGINIA’S PHASE 3 ALLOW OPENING?
Virginia’s Phase 3 Coronavirus restrictions allow for 75% capacity use of pools, but severely restrict elements such as splash pads, hot tubs and interactive pool features. These enhanced water features are some of Green Ridge and Splash Valley Water Park’s best and most unique assets. We are working on a plan for a limited operating season with as many provisions as possible for public safety. See Virginia Phase Guidelines Here
