We’re working on a plan to re-open areas of Green Ridge Recreation Center soon in accordance with state regulations and health safety recommendations. Please know that the safety of our guests and employees will be the highest priority, which will mean changes in services, hours, sanitation procedures, customer interactions and member facility usage

What is the Current Status of my Membership?

As you’re aware, Green Ridge members have not been charged for any time the facility has been closed. We have also suspended membership status changes such as cancellations. Our goal is to make sure each member family can make an informed decision about their participation in our recreation services. We understand that the global health situation is rapidly evolving and may impact each of our member families in a different way.  

How Will My Membership Resume?

  • In accordance with state regulations, Roanoke County officials will establish a re-opening date as soon as possible.
  • Members will be informed by e-mail & website with at least two weeks notice, including:
    • When Green Ridge will re-open
    • Health related service modifications for each area of the building
    • New procedures to enhance social distancing
    • Enhanced sanitation proceduresâ—¦Modifications to operational days or hours
    • The next date membership fees will be drafted (monthly memberships)
  • Once this information is provided, members are invited to make personal decisions about  staying with us. Your participation in the re-opening survey is extremely helpful.
  • Monthly memberships will be charged again after opening.
  • Prepaid term memberships will have their balance of remaining days in the term as of March 15, 2020 added to the opening date.
  • Rejoining fees will be waived for former members through September 30 for those who do not feel comfortable returning at this time and submit a formal cancellation.

Not Ready to Return?

Once an opening date is established, you’ll have at least two weeks to decide whether to stay with us before regular membership payments resume. Change your status by completing our new Status Change and Cancellation Survey. You will have the option to:

  • Option A - Select an alternate return date of July 1, August 1 or September 1
  • Option B - Cancel your membership for now. Rejoining fees will be waived through the end of September if you change your mind.
