Virginia Phase 2 Re-Opening - Green Ridge & Splash Valley (Update 6/2/20)

Governor Northram has announced that most of Virginia will be entering Phase 2 of Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions on Friday, June 5. We have already received many inquiries regarding the re-opening status of Green Ridge Recreation Center and Splash Valley Water Park. However, it will be several days before a plan is released for the re-opening of these facilities.

  • Will these facilities open on Friday, June 3? - No. Staff are currently reviewing guidelines released by the governor, and will assess required operational changes before setting an opening date. If the decision is made to open either facility in the coming weeks, communication will be made via this website, social media, and direct email to members.
  • What factors will determine re-opening status? - Re-opening is contingent on a variety of factors, the most important being the health and safety of our guests and employees. If the facilities are deemed safe to open, we will also consider the economic feasibility of operating each area reduced capacity. Re-opening will almost certainly be phased, with modified services outlined in advance for our guests. Please keep in mind that if the decision is made to re-open, it will may take up to two weeks to ramp up our staffing and internal procedures before we can safely accommodate guests.
