Description
The Catawba Center serves as a community meeting place for the Catawba region of Roanoke County. The grounds here include a picnic shelter, a playground, a basketball court, and a large lawn area. The building includes a rentable meeting space, a kitchen area, a space for dining, as well as tables and chairs.
Catawba Sustainability Center
The facility is home to Virginia Tech's Catawba Sustainability Center, an experiential showcase on 377 acres in the Catawba Valley. With research plus demonstration projects from multiple Virginia Tech colleges, the center is creating a positive model for a sustainable world. Catawba Farmer's Market
The Catawba Center also hosts the Catawba Farmers Market on Thursdays from 3:30pm to 7:00pm during the months of May through October. Directions
From Interstate 81, take Exit 141 north towards Catawba. At the the first stoplight turn right onto Route 311. Proceed over the mountain for 6.7 miles. Turn right onto Catawba Valley Road. Catawba Center will be on the right.
