    Chakras are an ancient system of identifying energy centers within the body. Each corresponds to an aspect of our outer and inner lives. Chakra Dance is a well-being practice using flowing and dynamic movements, a series of moving meditations. If you like yoga, but aren’t sure about the more challenging poses, if you want to meditate, but can’t sit still for more than a few minutes then chakra dance may be for you! All you need is a water bottle, comfortable clothing, and to be prepared to move/dance barefoot or in yoga socks. Instructor: Patricia Placona

  3. Painting with Ed Gowen (Ages 12+)

    Have you always wanted to paint but think you aren't equipped with the talent? Take a class with Ed Gowen and amaze yourself, your family and your friends with your masterpiece! First time painters are welcome and no experience is required! Ed will take you step-by-step through a painting project with entertaining demonstrations as well as personal coaching. Class projects last for a day (10: 00 - 3:30) and may include the popular methods of Bob Ross, Robert Warren, Gary Jenkins and at times, Ed’s own techniques as well. So bring a roll of paper towels and settle in for a day of challenging and relaxing fun! All other supplies are included! Participants under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  1. Kinderdance® (Ages 3-5)

    Your child will learn developmentally appropriate basics of ballet, tap, acrobatics, and creative movement, while learning numbers, colors, shapes, words and songs. There is an annual sign-up fee for Kinderdance® of $30 to be paid each year upon starting classes. Choose the fee with $30 added to it to pay your sign-up fee when first registering on or after September 2019. Each month following, you will no longer need to pay the sign-up fee. Instruction provided by Kinderdance® staff. All dancers will be given their class uniform and proper footwear on the first day of class.

  2. Tiny Bubbles (Ages 18 months - 36 months)

    Join your child as they discover the world of water. With your help, toddlers will experiment with arm and leg action, floating and going under water. Lots of repetition will help them become very comfortable and confident in the water. This is a fun and engaging class which will keep your child wanting to come back even as they are learning about safety and swimming skills. Parental participation is required.

  3. Self Defense Workshop (Ages 16+)

    Raise your everyday awareness or just be college ready for the fall. The workshop is designed to raise awareness of everyday tasks and to protect yourself in situations. Contact will be part of the workshop so make it fun and bring a friend! Participants should wear comfortable clothes, bring water and a notebook to take notes. Michelle Behrns is not only a Tru Self Defense Instructor but also teaches kickboxing, is a fitness instructor and teaches Shorin Ryu.

    Two year old children are engaged in a dance and movement program developmentally designed. During class they enjoy movement creativity, dance exploration, physical development and body awareness while learning numbers, colors, shapes and songs. We will explore basic yoga positions and working together as a class while learning about mindfulness and our peace within. This program will bring new movements, yoga games, and activities to your child each week. Join us today for a high-energy class full of rhythm, moving, laughing, and learning!   6. Ellis Life Guard Training (Ages 15+)

    February 22, 2020, 4:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ Green Ridge Recreation Center

    Be a part of the aquatics team! This is an intensive lifeguard training course that teaches high protection standards to enable you to prevent guests from catastrophic injury or drowning. This program gives lifeguards the skills and technical knowledge to become an effective member of an aquatics emergency response team. Upon completion of course participants are eligible for employment at the Green Ridge indoor pool and Splash Valley during the summer. Must be 16 to be considered for employment. Pre-registration is required. Prerequisite: Must be 15 years old to enroll and be able to swim 100 yds, retrieve a brick from a depth of 8 ft. and tread water for one minute. Classes will be Wed- Fri 4:30pm-9:00pm, Sat & Sun. 8:00am-2:00pm.
