  1. Ceramics (Ages 18+)

    Whether you are new to ceramics, decorated ceramics 40 years ago, or have recently made ceramic items, we welcome you to join this class. You will purchase your molded green ware pieces from a local vendor and instruction will be provided for your level of experience. Techniques include acrylic painting, dry brush painting, glazes and under-glazes. We will fire your pieces at the Brambleton Center as you make them. This is an enjoyable and relaxing way to make many useful items for your home and for gifts. Instructor: Betsy Jenkins

  2. Chair Assisted Yoga (Ages 18+)

    If you've wanted to try yoga, but feel you can't get up and down easily, this class is for you! Improve balance, posture, coordination and memory, improve muscle tone, reduce stress and learn relaxation techniques. No need to get on the floor, no experience necessary.   3. Pilates & Barre (Ages 18+)

    This low impact, effective program firms, lengthens, and shapes muscles to their optimal form! We start with warm-up exercises and stretches based in Pilates, then we use light hand weights for toning the upper body, followed by highly effective deep tissue concentrated exercises to work the thighs and seat. We will finish with abdominal- targeting mat work. You will feel new strength, increased flexibility, and more graceful. 6 week program. Instructor: Heather Richardson.

    Challenging and rejuvenating for all fitness levels, this Pilates class uses the principles of control, centering, concentration, and precision to engage the deepest core muscles.   5. Cycle Sampler (Ages 18+)

    The title says it all! Each night you will sample a variety of skills to target different muscle groups. This class will incorporate HIIT techniques, free weights, and hill climbs, all layered into a high cardio cycling class.     Does your yoga practice need a lift? Try a new yoga sensation - yoga with weights! In this class, we will combine basic yoga flows with gentle weight lifting. Green Ridge Recreation Center Calendar

  1. Canine Good Citizen Certification (Ages 18+)

    Don't we all want our dogs to be Canine Good Citizens? Well, we can help make that happen! During this six week course, we focus on the ten skills needed by all well-mannered dogs as outlined in the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen Program. The CGC Program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community while stressing responsible pet ownership. The CGC test is administered on the last day of class, and all dogs who pass will receive a certificate from the AKC. Instruction provided by High Hopes Dog Training.(Pre-requisite: Dogs must have graduated from Intermediate Obedience or have had private lessons with High Hopes.)

  3. Therapy Dog (Ages 18+)

    Would you like to give back to your community by volunteering with your dog? Therapy Dogs are used in a variety of settings including hospitals, rehab and long-term care facilities, schools, libraries, Veteran care programs, and many other facilities. During this six week course, we practice advanced behaviors necessary for you and your dog to interact in the community with different types of people in different environments. Your dog must have his or her Canine Good Citizen title to participate.
