  2. Intermediate Obedience & Problem Solving (Ages 18+)

    Now that your dog has learned some good manners, the next step is to apply those manners to real life situations while addressing common behavior problems like jumping on guests, door-dashing, pulling on the leash, not coming when called, etc. Behaviors taught include stay, place, leave it, heel, touch tag, and more. Dogs will be taught to respond to both verbal and non-verbal cues. Prerequisite: Graduation from our Beginner Obedience course or permission from High Hopes.

  4. Beginner Obedience & Good Manners (Ages 18+)

    Want a dog who listens better? In this basic training course, dog parents will learn how to best communicate with their dogs in order to teach them good manners. Positive reinforcement training methods are used to teach the following behaviors: touch, look, sit, down, stand, come, settle, wait, take it, loose-leash walking, plus more. Other topics include parent separation, agility exercises, impulse control, and canine communication. Dogs must complete either Puppy Kindergarten or be at least 6 months old. Six week course taught by High Hopes Dog Training.

  5. Puppy Kindergarten (Ages 18+)

    The single most important (and fun) thing you can do for your puppy? Puppy Kindergarten!! For puppies between 10-24 weeks old, socialization with other puppies and people is crucial in order to help them become social, well-balanced dogs. While making lots of friends during off-leash playtime, your puppy will gain confidence by participating in activities and learning basic commands. Discussions for puppy parents include puppy development, house-training, destructive chewing, and play-biting. Six week course taught by High Hopes Dog Training.

  1. Kinderdance® (Ages 3-5)

    Your child will learn developmentally appropriate basics of ballet, tap, acrobatics, and creative movement, while learning numbers, colors, shapes, words and songs. There is an annual sign-up fee for Kinderdance® of $30 to be paid each year upon starting classes. Choose the fee with $30 added to it to pay your sign-up fee when first registering on or after September 2019. Each month following, you will no longer need to pay the sign-up fee. Instruction provided by Kinderdance® staff. All dancers will be given their class uniform and proper footwear on the first day of class.

  2. Prestige Gymnastics for Moms and Tots (Ages 1-2)

    Moms and tots bond over a 30-minute gymnastics class for the younger participants. This program caters to the 1-2 year olds! Parent participation is required.   3. Baby Drops (Ages 6 months-18 months)

    No need to wait! Start the process of introducing your baby to the water sooner rather than later. This parent and child class will start building your baby's confidence and swimming readiness. What a fun opportunity for you and your child to explore the water and become adjusted together. Parents will learn basic water skills to keep their children safe and help them to love the water. Safety information and teaching techniques will be provided to parents. Parental participation is required.

  4. Big Waves (Ages 4-5)

    Celebrate your child's independence in the water. This is the first class that we offer that have children in the water without a caregiver. Your child may be a beginner or already comfortable in the water. Regardless, they will learn to float, kick and become proficient with arm strokes. Rolling over and treading water will be introduced. Submerging is a big part of this class since swimming requires being able to put your face in the water! If they are more advanced they will be expected to swim more independently and with less support from the instructor.

  5. Level 1 Swimming Lessons (Ages 6-12)

    Let's have fun learning to swim! This is a class for the older beginning swimmer to become comfortable and confident in the water. They will gain basic aquatic skills including; beginning swimming strokes, breath control, floating, and kicking - all of which will help to keep them safe. Games and activities will help teach them to enjoy and become adjusted to the water. In addition, they will participate in a safety lesson each lesson that will encourage them to be safe around all aquatic environments. The goal is a positive attitude towards swimming and water safety.

  6. Prestige Gymnastics for Preschoolers (Ages 3-4)

    Preschool gymnastics classes at Green Ridge are filled with obstacle courses, tunnels, and exciting lesson plans, but your time spent with us is not all fun and games. Each preschool curriculum is carefully designed for what kiddos need most at these ages. Not only are they JAM-PACKED with fun, new activities in each class, they offer extensive physical work on balance, coordination, and motor skills. Sounds great, right? I'm not done yet! Our instructors are instilling intellectual learning into each class! Your little tots will be counting, using shapes, colors, sounds, music, and engaging all 5 senses! We haven't forgotten about good listening skills! Our most asked question by parents is, 'What can a 3 year old really do at gymnastics?' The answer is, 'LOTS', let us show you!   7. Tiny Bubbles (Ages 18 months - 36 months)

  8. Level 2 Swimming Lessons (Ages 6-12)

    Our swimmers continue to build on the basic skills learned in Level 1 in the Level 2 class. The student will become more confident and be able to swim short distances by themselves. Students in this class should be very comfortable going under the water. Emphasis in this class is on learning to float without support, alternating arms and leg actions on front and back along with rotary breathing. Safety lessons are ever present in order to ensure our participant's safety around all water environments. Fun is not forgotten either!

  9. Level 3 & 4 Swimming Lessons (Ages 6-12)

    Now you're really a swimmer! Swimmers in this class are very confident and comfortable in the water. All strokes are introduced and by the time they have completed both levels, they will be able to swim at least 25 yards of all six strokes. When a participant passes Level 3 they will have achieved basic water competency skills according to the new American Red Cross standards. Safety lessons become more in depth and cover more topics.

  11. Kids Make Chocolate (Ages 8-12)

    Come enjoy swimming with your child as they acquire basic aquatic skills that will encourage their love of the water. This class is the foundation of swimming skills for years to come. While parental participation is required in this class, there will be some time of independent swimming. This time will help your child separate from you and help to discover if they are ready to go to the next level without you. Parents will still be provided with water safety information to keep your entire family safe around aquatic environments.

  13. Begin to Swim (Ages 13+)

    It's never too late to learn how to swim! Our swim instructors will provide an introductory water program designed for anyone 13 years and up that may be fearful about participation in water activities or need assistance developing their basic swimming skills. This is a comfortable, non-threatening environment and we have very patient instructors who want to help participants conquer their fear of the water and learn to swim.

  15. Prestige Gymnastics for School Age (Ages 5-12)

    Each and every gymnast in our recreational program receives multitudes of one-on-one attention! This class boosts self-esteem and confidence as each gymnast will soon see their skills improving and bodies toning. We give our gymnasts big goals and encourage them to push themselves to succeed! Although this gymnastics class is not being held in an actual gymnastics facility, we will continue to be extremely goal oriented as we work balance, tumbling, coordination and more! Our classes are based off of USAG curriculum and mixed in with fun and effective drills. These classes will be training on a multitude of equipment. Our Beginner Program at Green Ridge is an entry level class that introduces the wonderful sport of gymnastics and build up basic skills so one day we can move to a more advanced class! Leotard is not required-just wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed athletic shoes.

  16. A Little Art! (Ages 8-12)

    This two hour class of A Little Art allows time for exciting projects such as: polymer clay, Artist trading cards, painting with different forms of paint, slime making, tie dye, printing and many more. The name of the class comes from the projects being small in size, hence a “little” art. New and exciting fun projects are constantly being added so the exact same project does not repeat in the same year. All supplies are included and a fun, edible “crafting snack” is included, who knew food could be art too?! Lisa Hoyt is the instructor.

  17. Taekwondo (Ages 5+)

    Taekwondo classes at Green Ridge are designed to teach martial arts and fitness in a structured but fun environment. We help kids develop a focused mind, a coordinated body, a courteous nature, and a positive attitude. Kids, teens, and adults alike will improve fitness and coordination while learning self-defense skills that help build confidence and focus. Students can sign up individually or have the whole family try together. Fee is per person. Instructors Cameron and Sarah Starnes have years of experience and are 2nd degree blackbelts. No uniform required-wear comfortable clothes. In addition to martial arts instruction, emphasized will be the five tenets of taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit.
