    When you think of indoor cycling, do you think, “They go too fast,” “I can’t keep up,” “Cycling is uncomfortable,” or “It’s too intense for me?” Have you wanted to try but have been too intimidated? If so, try our introduction to cycling class, where you cycle at your own pace! This workshop is specifically designed for the beginner and the first portion of the class learning bike set-up, cycle terminology and how to ride comfortably. Explore Park Calendar

  1. Full Moon Hike (Ages 5+)

    Lace up your boots for an evening stroll on Explore Park’s trails. Use the light of the Moon to see how nocturnal nature looks when, as E.E. Cummings describes it, “the world becomes mudluscious and puddlewonderful”. A nature guide will provide flashlight covers and access to an animal call library to help you discover what newly awakened creatures are out singing spring songs to the Moon. This program is rain or shine, and participants are encouraged to dress accordingly.

Green Ridge Recreation Center Calendar

  1. Photoshop 1 (Tools) (Ages 12+)

    March 9, 2020, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Green Ridge

    This class will cover tools and how to make and move selections, retouch, add type, quick mask, etc. Please bring your computer with photoshop loaded. You can download a 7 day free trial at Adobe.com. After that it is 9.99 a month. We will talk about a less expensive option in class. It takes several hours to load so don’t wait until the last day to do it. A handout will be provided so you can review the information later. Feel free to bring food to class. Teena Cook has taught photography at VWCC for 30 years and has a Masters Degree.

    This is a beginning level ballet class comprised of a 30 minute barre featuring exercises to warm-up feet, legs, and arms. This is followed by 30 minutes of center work and traveling combinations to work on balance, coordination, and flexibility. Participants may wear tights, leggings, sweatpants, and either a leotard or sports top. Ballet slippers are recommended. Instructor Beth Brunelle.
