    If you've wanted to try yoga, but feel you can't get up and down easily, this class is for you! Improve balance, posture, coordination, & memory. Improve muscle tone, reduce stress, and learn relaxation techniques. No need to get on the floor; no experience necessary. Instructor: Patricia Placona, a 200-e RYT, Restorative Yoga Certified Instructor. Class does not meet on 5/29.

    Explore Park’s Foresters Trail has a story to tell. Take a pleasant walk through the woods and hear that story from a professional forester. Learn to identify trees, recognize soil formation in action, and spy the signs of development and decline in a forest. This great educational opportunity for all ages will introduce you to modern forestry practices and the balance that foresters strike between providing wood products for society and preserving the unique and highly diverse ecosystem of our forestland. Hosted by the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Society of American Foresters (SAF). Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.

    Monarchs are the poster children of butterflies and even insects in general. Plants and animals depend on butterflies and other pollinators for their very lives. Learn all about Monarchs and how to identify other local butterfly species and their life cycles. Participants will get to make a butterfly feeder, learn how to encourage backyard butterflies, and receive a butterfly checklist. Children must be accompanied by a registered/paid adult. Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.
