  1. Archery Camp Level 1 (Ages 8-14)

    Roanoke County’s newest program is designed to open the world of archery to children in a safe and fun environment. The camps core content includes archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration, and self-improvement. All instructors are certified by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) and have undergone a certification program referred to as BAI, ‘Basic Archery Instructor.’ Please note that this program will focus on the skills of archery, not hunting.

  2. Girls Golf Camp (Ages 7-11)

    Do you want your daughter to learn a sport they will be able to play for the rest of their life? If so, let Golf Professionals and Volunteers from the 1st Tee teach them the proper fundamentals needed to begin playing golf. The camp will focus on learning the basic club grip, swing, putting, chipping, golf etiquette, and life skills. The last day campers will have the opportunity to compete for special awards and prizes. Campers are required to bring their own age appropriate equipment to camp. A limited number of loaner clubs are available for free by contacting The First Tee of Roanoke ahead of time.

Led by a collection of area college and high school coaches and players, these camps are sure to help your child expand on the skills needed for organized soccer. The format of the camps is based on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s youth developmental guidelines that focus on the fundamentals of the game in a fun and safe atmosphere.

Each camper will be schooled on the basics of volleyball including passing, serving, setting, spiking, digging, blocking and court positioning from high school coaches. The camp is designed specifically to give beginner or intermediate level players the skills needed to try out for middle school and junior varsity volleyball.
