Roanoke County’s newest program is designed to open the world of archery to children in a safe and fun environment. The camps core content includes archery history, safety, technique, equipment, mental concentration, and self-improvement. All instructors are certified by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) and have undergone a certification program referred to as BAI, ‘Basic Archery Instructor.’ Please note that this program will focus on the skills of archery, not hunting.

A budding soccer player in the family? If so, get them off on the right foot with a specially designed camp for kids ages 3 to 5. The miniature version of our popular soccer camp, this camp will help children develop the basic soccer skills (kicking, trapping, running and agility) that are needed to participate in organized soccer.

Ahoy mates! Calling all boys and girls who want to have some fun dressing up like pirates, make treasure chests and dig in the sand for buried treasure. Campers must be fully potty-trained.

For over a decade, Roanoke County’s most popular sports camp has been improving the skills and knowledge of one of the Valley’s most popular sports, Soccer! Led by a collection of area college and high school coaches and players, these camps are sure to help your child expand on the skills needed for organized soccer. The format of the camps is based on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s youth developmental guidelines that focus on the fundamentals of the game in a fun and safe atmosphere.

Have a child who is interested in playing volleyball yet have no idea where to begin? If so, this camp is perfect for them. Each camper will be schooled on the basics of volleyball including passing, serving, setting, spiking, digging, blocking and court positioning from high school coaches. The camp is designed specifically to give beginner or intermediate level players the skills needed to try out for middle school and junior varsity volleyball.

Campers will explore the world of art while having fun and making summer memories. Spend the week creating all sorts of fun art projects using paint, clay and more! Parents be sure and send children in clothes that are OK to get messy.
